Portland, Oregon – July 15, 2009 — Heron Lakes Golf Club announced today that they will be participating in the industry-wide Get Golf Ready program that will provide golfers with a series of five introductory lessons by PGA Professionals from May 21 through August 21st. The program, which was created in connection with The World Golf Foundation and Play Golf America, will aim to give new golfers a fun, fast and affordable way to introduce them to the game of golf.
The five introductory lessons will give basic golf skills including chipping, putting, full swing, half swing and bunker play, as well as background of the game’s rules, etiquette and values through significant on-course learning opportunities. The small-group lessons will be available for $99.
“Get Golf Ready is a great opportunity for new golfers to jumpstart their golf education in an unintimidating setting,” said general manager Stewart Koch. “We hope that this program brings the game of golf to the community and provides an affordable and rewarding experience.”
