WELCOME. The Heron Lakes Golf Club (HLGC) was founded in 1972 and is made up of a group of golfers with a desire to compete with each other while enjoying the great game of golf.  We are rich in tradition with our club history, while enjoying the present and are looking forward to our future.

HLGC welcomes all golfers of all skill levels as part of our membership. Each player will receive an official USGA handicap, preferred Saturday and Wednesday tee times, discounts in the Pro shop and in the snack bar, be eligible to participate in Pacific NW Golf Association and Oregon Golf Association events and have a membership board that will look after the good will of all its members.

Starting each February and continuing through November the club conducts a major golf tournament each month.  Four of our major tournaments are two-day events and seven are two man team competitions. Our biggest tournament of the year is the Men's Club Championship. The Men's Club Championship is a stroke play tournament that is held over two days in mid-August.

Our membership is fortunate to have two of Oregon's most challenging championship golf courses to play:  the Green Back and The Great Blue. Our Green Back golf course was the site of the 1979 USGA Public Links Championships and The Great Blue Golf Course was the site of the 2000 USGA Public Links Championship. The renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed both golf courses.

The HLGC board meets once a month at Elmer's Pancake House in Delta Park at 6:30 PM the first Wednesday of each month. All members are welcome to attend to help set club policies, rules and events that help better our golf club organization for all of our men's club members.

If you are not yet a member of the Heron Lakes Golf Club, you are welcome to join by printing the membership application from this web page and mailing to the Club address.

We'll see you at Heron Lakes Golf Course!
